Hats off to 20 students from two engineering honors society groups, Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi, who voluntered for a North Campus Woodland Conservation Invasive Removal Event on Thursday, November 11, 2010.

Under the supervision of Kenn Rapp, U-M Landscape Architect, and Tony Shourds, from U-M Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH), the students were able to identify and remove invasive Honeysuckle and Buckthorn, as well as to learn about the origins and impacts of invasive species in the process.

The North Campus Woodland Conservation invasive removal event typically occurs once or twice per semester. The university extends its gratitude to Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi for their ongoing support in this effort.
