Energy for Tomorrow Essay Contest (May 20 Deadline)

TIME & FORTUNE invite students from top business, environmental, public policy, and engineering graduate schools from around the world to submit an essay for the Energy for Tomorrow competition.

THE QUESTION: Discuss which energy innovations you believe will be most effective in creating a sustainable urban environment. How will these innovations affect consumer behaviour?

DATES: Essays due May 20, 2011; Winner notified June 10, 2011

PRIZES:

Energy for Tomorrow Winner

  • His/her essay published in TIME & FORTUNE magazines
  • Win $5000 for his/her school and an all expenses paid trip to the FORTUNE Brainstorm Tech event in Aspen, Colorado, USA (July 19-21)
  • The winner's school will also get the chance to host a discussion on energy with a TIME/FORTUNE magazine’s international editor

10 finalists will have their essays published on TIME.com
2 highly commended students
will win $2000 for their school
1 readers’ choice student will win $1000 for his/her school

MATERIALS REQUIRED: 1,000 word essay, 50 word synopsis of essay, author photo and biography. Submit your entry to Energy2Tomorrow@umich.edu.
