Paid Student Review Board Positions Available for Planet Blue Student Innovation Fund (Part-Time)

If you're a U-M student with a passion for environmental sustainability, we encourage you to apply for a part-time, paid position as a member of the Planet Blue Student Innovation Fund (PBSIF) Review Board. (See Job Description Below.)

PBSIF is an $150,000 fund offering grants for student-led, large-scale, innovative projects that enhance campus sustainability. Members of the Review Board will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the expansion of sustainability at U-M by making grant decisions that will support the start-up of exciting new projects, which this past year have included the U-M Campus Farm and the Ann Arbor Student Food Coop’s sustainable food cart.

PBSIF is currently recruiting for both an undergraduate student and two graduate students to fill three openings on the board for the 2012-2013 academic year. As a member of the PBSIF Review Board, you'll work approximately 100-150 hours throughout the year. Review Board members will receive a $200 stipend for their work. The job description is below. JOB DESCRIPTION

Review Board Member, PBSIF

Members of the PBSIF Review Board are responsible for attending 1-hour weekly meetings and contributing to planning and publicity activities that occur each week. This includes participating in publicizing PBSIF before concept proposal and final proposal deadlines and attending at least four 2-hour PBSIF office hour sessions during the fall funding cycle. Overseeing and developing relationships with existing and future grantee project teams is another responsibility of each board member.

Board members must review all concept and final grant proposals and participate in the feedback and voting process for both. This will include attending two voting meetings per year with the entire PBSIF Review Board.

PBSIF is currently recruiting for an undergraduate student and two graduate students to fill three openings on the board for the 2012-2013 academic year. Review board members will receive a $200 stipend for a roughly 100 -150 hour commitment for the year.
