The Student Sustainability Initiative has announced this year’s recipients of Graham’s Planet Blue Student Innovation Fund (PBSIF). Three project teams were awarded funding for their high-impact, innovative, and transformative sustainability work. With PBSIF support, the Campus Farm will be installing hoop houses in order to extend their growing season; an interdisciplinary team of engineers and Dow Fellows will be developing an organic waste biodigester on north campus; and the Maize & Blue Cupboard will expand their work with food distribution to the Ann Arbor community.
