As part of our "town-gown" relationship, the City of Ann Arbor invites the U
-M Community to help combat climate change and save energy by taking part in the 2011 Energy Challenge throughout the month of February.
The goal is to reduce your carbon footprint in February by at least 5%—preventing the release of 170 lbs. of CO2. If every household reduced emissions by this amount, we would avoid 95.8 million lbs. of CO2: the equivalent of taking 8,311 cars off the road for a year.
